2023, the year of the Edible Horrors, continues! I had locked myself into the idea that the Edible Horrors collection would debut with three masks, and finished two of them. Both the Cookie Monster and the Cakenstein masks took their inspiration from specific movie monster designs, and they were both desserts. I thought the third mask should be based on a less particular monster, and should also be savory instead of sweet.

That’s how we came to the Glazed Hampire. Not Dracula. Not Jerry Dandridge. Just a vampire, folks. A yummy, savory vampire.

The crackling skin and juicy pineapple rings required a fair amount of clay to bring to life, but as you can see, it was all worth it.
